Dr. Jialiang Wei

Postdoc Plus-Stipendiat

Dr. Jialiang Wei will conduct research at the University of Hamburg, Department of Computer Science, exploring how generative AI can enhance communication between app users and developers to improve user feedback and its analysis. He earned his PhD at the French École Nationale Supérieure des Mines d'Alès (IMT Mines Alès) on the topic of app development through generative AI.

"In my previous work, I analyzed various data (including app descriptions, app introduction images, app reviews) of mobile app stores through AI (Large Language Models, Visual Language Models, Diffusion Models, etc.) to assist app developers in exploring user needs and market trends. As listening to end-users is crucial for the success of a mobile app, in this PostDoc project, I aim to explore the use of Generative AI to facilitate communication between users and developers, enabling users to provide more effective feedback and assisting developers in analyzing and reacting to feedback - for the ultimate goal of better apps.

My expectations for the PostDoc period are to expand my knowledge, build professional relationships, and make progress in my research project. I also hope to explore the rich culture of Hamburg."
