WAS ZÄHLT! – WE KEEP DISTANCE AND MOVE TOGETHER
The Claussen-Simon-Foundation reorganizes its funding activities for the present year. To support our fellows of stART.up we have issued a “Was zählt!”-Fund for artists of stART.up amounting to 100.000 Euros. This supports our active and former fellows in timely conceptualizing alternative projects to absorb some of the deficits due to the confinements of public and cultural life.
Furthermore, we establish a “Was zählt!”-Fund for Teaching and Learning in Hamburg. Because of the corona crisis and the consequential changes for Hamburg’s educational system, Hamburg’s schools and universities face new challenges. Our “Was zählt!”-Funding for teaching and learning wants to support educational institutions to meet these demands. Therefore, we have provided 300.000 Euros. In cooperation with the Hans Weisser Stiftung, that provided another 100.000 Euros for the field of education, we also support out-of-school educational institutions to meet these demands and to additionally support underprivileged youths.
Additionally, the Claussen-Simon-Foundation partakes in two federal- respectively statewide funds with 100.000 Euros, among others the "Kunst kennt keinen Shutdown"-Fund initiated by the Hamburgische Kulturstiftung.
Pending selection procedures for scholarship programs are performed in digital form. Participants will be informed in time. All further changes and developments will be communicated via our website.
