With the Postdoc Plus scholarship program, we support outstanding early-career researchers who wish to establish themselves with a research project at Hamburg's universities or colleges immediately after completing their doctorate. The one-year financial and non-material support provides the recipients with an orientation phase to explore a new research field or topic, secure third-party funding, and prepare for the subsequent qualification phase (junior professorship, habilitation).

Thanks to its streamlined selection process, Postdoc Plus offers flexible knock-on funding to help doctoral graduates advance their academic careers.

Benefits of the scholarship

• financial aid: living-cost of 1.750 EURO per month for one year, additional child benefit 
• non-material support: participating in the foundation's syllabus and activities (new year's symposium, group meetings), establishing of a mentor/mentee-relationship with your professor by conductiong monthly evaluation, a variety of coaching and workshop programs
